January, 2022: Medical Mission and Vision Trip
- The medical mission will focus on the support of the diocesan Health Center in Musoma, Tanzania. The team may include nurse practitioners, physician assistants, surgeons, dentists, and ophthalmologists. Activities may include examinations, support of the Center’s pharmacy, support of physicians, dentists, or ophthalmologists and general assistance to the Center’s medical staff. There is also the possibility of participating in mobile health care to provides care to rural villages.
- Leaders from partner churches will make the trip to Tanzania and the diocese to learn about the ministry, meet pastors and other ministry leaders, and visit several villages where water well projects have been completed
June, 2022: 20th annual Pastor’s Conference, Musoma, Tanzania
This year’s conference for the pastors of the Diocese of Mara-Ukerewe will continue an emphasis on biblical instruction, practical ministry application, and spiritual refreshment for 400 pastors and wives. Since 2002 generous friends in the US have made it possible to host this conference annually. The conference will be held in Musoma, Tanzania June 7-11, 2021. Several specific themes are under consideration: “A Biblical Response to the Prosperity Gospel”; “Foundational Christian Doctrines: Creation, Sin and the Fall, Redemption-Promise and Fulfillment, and The Kingdom of God”; “Patience in the Midst of Trial”. Conference speakers include the Reverend Robert Browning and the Reverend Mike Malone.
